The Veterans Advisory Board is held the first Wednesday of each month at 11:00 am in the Lower Level BOCC Room of the Lewis County Historic Courthouse. Functional Family Therapy (FFT) This program was part of a cost-benefit analysis completed by the Washington State Institute for Public Policy on several violence prevention and reduction programs, including six Blueprints programs: Watching the Bottom Line: Cost-Effective Interventions for Reducing Crime in Washington. Program Summary Functional Family Therapy (FFT) is an outcome-driven prevention/intervention program for youth who have demonstrated the entire range of maladaptive, acting out behaviors and related syndromes. Road Maintenance
The Lewis County Road Maintenance Division is responsible for providing cost effective and safe travel over the 1,053 miles of county roadway. To accomplish this, the division has five Road Maintenance area shops, a vegetation & guardrail program, and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement. Each maintenance area has an appropriate number of personnel and equipment assigned to handle the routine road maintenance, repairs, and storm response duties and responsibilities in their area. Daphne laureola Spurge Laurel - An evergreen shrub that gets to be around 1.5 to 5 feet tall. Plants can either be upright or arched at the base before spreading upwards.Leaves: Leaves alternate and are more prominent towards the top of the shoots. They are dark green and shiny on the top with lighter undersides. Leaves are oval in shape and about 0.8-5.1 inches long.Flowers: Flowers bloom from March through June. CORRECTIONS BUREAU– CHIEF CHRIS SWEET The Corrections Bureau encompasses the Lewis County Jail. The Lewis County Jail was remodeled in 2005 and is approximately 69,000 square feet.The Corrections Bureau is comprised of a Captain, Lieutenant, six Sergeants, forty-one Corrections Deputies, an Administrative Assistant and five Support Technicians. CUSTODY DIVISION: The Custody Division is directly supervised by a Lieutenant and consists of four custody squads. A sergeant leads each squad and each squad is comprised of seven or eight Corrections Deputies. The Custody squads work 12 hour shifts, and have 3-4 days off per week. The shifts rotate every three months …
