The Veterans Advisory Board is held the first Wednesday of each month at 11:00 am in the Lower Level BOCC Room of the Lewis County Historic Courthouse. This is an open meeting and the public is welcome. Veterans' Relief Fund Veterans or spouses of veterans may be eligible for assistance through the Veterans Relief Fund. The Lewis County Solid and Hazardous Waste Management Plan, a document required by Washington State law, RCW 70A.205.040. The law mandates each county prepare a comprehensive solid waste management plan, and update it periodically, is nearing its current update phase. What types of oils can be recycled as used motor oil? Motor oil is only accepted for recycling at the Central Transfer Station in Centralia on days that the Hazo Hut is open to the public. The LC Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan, is a countywide plan that identifies risks and ways to minimize damage by natural and manmade disasters. The plan is a comprehensive resource document that serves many purposes such as enhancing public awareness, creating a decision tool for management, promoting compliance with Washington State and Federal program requirements, enhancing local policies for hazard mitigation capability, and providing inter-jurisdictional coordination.The federal Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000 requires all local governments to create such a disaster plan in order to qualify for hazard mitigation funding.Lewis County tackled this planning effort on a region wide basis, and …

Passport Applications
The Lewis County Clerk's Office is authorized by the U.S. Department of State to accept passport applications. Passport applications may be submitted, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Friday.We will attempt to process passport applications for everyone that comes into the office during the hours listed above, but the Clerk's statutory duties take precedence.
