Short Term Rental Registry Process
On January 1, 2026, all owners and operators of short-term rentals (also known as Air BnBs) will be required to register the rental through Lewis County. Owners/operators will have one calendar year to come into compliance. The registry application is available through the online portal HERE.The requirements are specified in Lewis County Code Chapter 17.105. Tire Recycling Events
When grant funding becomes available, Lewis County Code Enforcement and Lewis County Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Utility Division partner to hold tire recycling events.At these events, passenger and light truck tires will be accepted for free, and the tires can be on or off the rim. Lewis County Juvenile Court believes that physical exercise should be incorporated into everyday life. We strive to educate our youth on how to use their own body weight to get exercise daily.Exercise has proven to help decrease anxiety and depression while improving mood and quality of sleep.
