Lewis County residents can drop off unwanted household chemicals, up to five gallons of used motor oil, up to five gallons of antifreeze, and up to 10 burned out fluorescent light bulbs at Hazo Hut at the Lewis County Central Transfer Station, 1411 S. Tower Ave., Centralia, today from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Hazo Hut is closing early today because of the predicted storm. These are the limits for each household each day that the Hazo Hut is open. Reserve Deputy Coroner Program
The office has Reserve Deputy Coroner Academy which is a volunteer, non-paid position. The training consists of classroom, office responsibilities, ride along with law enforcement, observing dispatch and assisting Deputy Coroners on calls and in office.Reserve Deputy Coroners ride along with Deputy Coroners to scenes and assist with investigations under the supervision of the Deputy Coroner. Youth have opportunities throughout the week to do group counseling and/or individualized counseling. Services provided by:Young Life who provides services to connect youth to Christ while in custody and out of custody such as, but not limited to team building exercises, bible study, one-on-one counseling.Christ for Life and Prisons for Christ who provide services such as, but not limited to bible study, seminary, in custody concerts, and one-on-one counseling to those in custody.These services are available throughout the week to any in-custody youth who would like to participate.
