    INTRODUCTIONLewis County Code LCC8.55 includes requirements to protect public drinking water sources. The regulations require that wells be surrounded by an area of sanitary control. The Sanitary Control Area is the area in which activities that could contaminate the drinking water source are not allowed.     Lewis County transfer stations in Centralia and Morton are closed in observance of the Independence Day Holiday today (Friday, July 4). This closure includes the Administration Office at the Centralia site. Normal hours resume for transfer stations in Centralia and Morton will resume on Saturday, July 5. The Administration Office will reopen on Monday, July 7.
