LEWIS COUNTY VOLUNTEER GAL PROGRAMThe Lewis County Volunteer Guardian ad Litem Program (GAL) trains volunteers to be Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for children going through dependency court. These volunteers speak in court on the child’s behalf, representing the best interests of the child, and relaying the child’s wishes to the judge. Linaria vulgaris Yellow Toadflax - A perennial growing 8-31 inches tall from creeping roots. Forms colonies.Leaves: Many narrow, linear leaves up to 4 inches in length, alternating along the stem.Flowers: Flowers bloom from June-September. Many flowers crowd the top 2-9 inches of the plant. Flowers are yellow, hairy, and have orange "throats." Scrap Metal Recycling Event near Vader and Winlock today
Lewis County residents may recycle scrap metal and household appliances for free at the old solid waste drop box at 1105 Winlock-Vader Road from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 7 at a special recycling event organized by the City of Vader and Lewis County Solid Waste Utility. Household appliances accepted in the recycling containers at the event include washers, dryers, hot water heaters, stoves/ranges, and dish washers.
