  4. April Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day in Morton

    Residents may drop of household hazardous waste for free from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the East Lewis County Transfer Station, 6745 U.S. Hwy 12, just east of Morton. Examples of household hazardous materials that can be dropped off are cleaners, lawn, garden, and pool chemicals.   5. Lewis County Transfer Stations Closed on July 4

    Lewis County transfer stations in Centralia and Morton will be closed on Monday, July 4, in observance of the Independence Day Holiday. Centralia will re-open on Tuesday, July 5, at 7:30 a.m. and Morton will re-open Tuesday, July 5, at 8:30 a.m. The Lewis County Solid Waste Administration Office will also be closed on July 4. It will resume regular hours on July 5.

    Lewis County Veterans Benefits Specialist Heidi Palmer shares a variety of services and resource information with local veterans from her office in Chehalis.
