Bail Information The Lewis County Jail accepts bail on behalf of the court having jurisdiction over the charge an individual is booked on. The amount and type of bail is determined by the court. Posting Bail - Cash Bail Cash bail is accepted 24 hours a day. Cash may be placed in the kiosk in the main lobby during normal business hours and the release lobby after business hours. Lewis County Emergency Management strongly recommends all citizens have a weather radio as part of their emergency preparedness kit. Weather radios are equipped with a special alarm tone feature that can sound an alert and give you immediate information about a life-threatening situation. During an emergency, the National Weather Service forecasters will interrupt routine weather radio programming and send out the special tone that activates weather radios in the listening area. The Planned Growth Committee (PGC) is made up of the Mayor, or their designee, from each city in Lewis County and the Chair of the Board of County Commissioners.
