Collaboration in the face of Rapid Growth
A group of local governments—the City of Chehalis, the Port of Chehalis, Twin Transit, and Lewis County—are collaborating to reckon with the rapid growth expected in south Chehalis and its adjacent urban growth area (UGA). Reserve Deputy Coroner Program
The office has Reserve Deputy Coroner Academy which is a volunteer, non-paid position. The training consists of classroom, office responsibilities, ride along with law enforcement, observing dispatch and assisting Deputy Coroners on calls and in office.Reserve Deputy Coroners ride along with Deputy Coroners to scenes and assist with investigations under the supervision of the Deputy Coroner. We recently completed the installation of 2 boot brush stations at Seminary Hill Natural Area, the first boot brush stations in Lewis County.We hope that the visitors will use the boot brush each time they enter and leave the trails at Seminary Hill, and we hope that awareness of Invasive Species and the Prevention of Spreading is something that visitors will take with them.Invasive and noxious weed species are present and plentiful in Seminary Hill Natural Area.
