1. Collaboration in the face of Rapid Growth

    A group of local governments—the City of Chehalis, the Port of Chehalis, Twin Transit, and Lewis County—are collaborating to reckon with the rapid growth expected in south Chehalis and its adjacent urban growth area (UGA).     The office has Reserve Deputy Coroner Academy which is a volunteer, non-paid position. The training consists of classroom, office responsibilities, ride along with law enforcement, observing dispatch and assisting Deputy Coroners on calls and in office.Reserve Deputy Coroners ride along with Deputy Coroners to scenes and assist with investigations under the supervision of the Deputy Coroner.
