Final day for Christmas tree and holiday light recycling
Residents can drop off their Christmas trees and burned out holiday lights today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot outside the Centralia transfer station at 1411 S. Tower Ave. Today is the final day for the recycling event! Please remove all decorations and tinsel from the trees. Donations will be accepted to support WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter volunteer community outreach programs. Flocked and artificial trees will not be accepted. Lewis County Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC)
This meeting was canceled.The Lewis County SWAC meets at 1:00 p.m. the second Wednesday of each month in the Lewis County Public Works Building, 2025 NE Kresky Ave., Chehalis, WA 98532. If a regularly scheduled meeting lands on a holiday, members may elect to cancel the meeting or vote to meet on an alternate date.Meetings are open to the public, but during the current pandemic restrictions the meetings are only being offered online via Zoom. INTERNSHIPS: The Lewis County Coroner's Office does accept students as interns as long as they are enrolled in a college or university that is accredited through the US Department of Education as well as the College for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). This office does not accept applications or inquiries directly from students. Students must go through their school internship or co-operative coordinator to apply for an internship.
