    The Lewis County of Commissioners will host a public hearing on or after 10 a.m. March 11 in the Commissioners' hearing room on the second floor of the Historic Lewis County Courthouse in Chehalis. The purpose of the hearing is to consider renewal of the leases of its solid waste transfer stations in Centralia and Morton to the Lewis County Solid Waste Disposal District No. 1, a quasi-municipal corporation.     Municipal Solid Waste (garbage): $120 per ton ($20.00 minimum for 340 pounds or less). A 3.6 percent refuse tax is added to each transaction. The fees are rounded using standard rounding rules. Municipal solid waste/garbage includes all household trash, business waste, mattresses, couches, furniture, noxious weeds, construction/demolition debris, etc. Loads of garbage cannot include ammunition, hazardous waste or liquid waste.Stumps/Trees/Branches: $100.00 per ton ($15.00 minimum for 300 pounds or less).     The Planned Growth Committee (PGC) is made up of the Mayor, or their designee, from each city in Lewis County and the Chair of the Board of County Commissioners.   10. Household Hazardous Waste/Hazo Hut/Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generators (CESQG)

    Motor Oil and Antifreeze Recycling Customers bringing oil to the Central Transfer Station, 1411 S. Tower Ave., Centralia, are only be permitted to drop off motor oil and antifreeze on Wednesdays and the first and third Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., when the Hazo Hut is open. Each customer will be permitted to drop off 5 gallons of motor oil during these times. RCW 70A.224.030 limits each household to depositing 5 gallons of motor oil each day.
