The Auditor’s Office consists of four departments,Financial ServicesDocument RecordingVehicle LicensingElectionsThe Auditor is responsible for examining all county financial transactions to ensure adequate coverage and proper reporting of expenditures for county funds. As county recorder, the Auditor is responsible for recording and preserving in perpetuity land ownership documents, surveys, plats, land corner records, state and federal tax liens, uniform commercial codes and other miscellaneous ordinances and legal records. Community Recycle Events, Repair & Sustainability Fair, Workshops
Lewis County is working with cities and communities to offer free recycling events and opportunities to properly dispose of certain materials. Please see the Schedule of Events for 2026 listed below.The events are offered to Lewis County residents only, and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If some recycling containers fill up on the day of the event, that particular recycling opportunity may be closed due to storage and space limitations. Repair & Sustainability Fair in Morton
Repair & Sustainability Fair in Morton: The WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter (MRC) volunteers are teaming up with Centralia College East, the Lewis County Solid Waste Utility and others in the community to host a Repair & Sustainability Fair in Morton.
