    The regularly scheduled Lewis County Solid Waste Disposal District No. 1 Commission Meeting on the fourth Monday of each month has been canceled, and rescheduled to Feb. 17 at 11 a.m. It will take place in the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners Hearing Room on the second floor of the Historic Courthouse, 351 NW North St., Chehalis, WA 98532.

  4. Recycle paint at the SWW Fairgrounds today

    Lewis County Solid Waste Utility is partnering with Green Sheen Paint and the Southwest Washington Fair to offer a free paint recycling event on Saturday, May 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Drop off unwanted paint cans and leftover paint. The event will take place in the Blue Pavilion Parking Lot at the Southwest Washington Fairground, 1909 S. Gold Street, Centralia, WA 98531. The event is open to residential and business customers.   6. Sensitive document shredding service offered in Chehalis

    Residents may bring up to 5 bags or boxes or sensitive documents they would like to have shredded. This is a free community service. The shredded paper will be recycled at a paper recycling facility. The event will be offered from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. as part of the spring Repair & Sustainability Fair at the Chehalis Outfitters, 1757 N. National Ave., Chehalis, WA. Funded in part by a Local Solid Waste and Financial Assistance Grant from the Department of Ecology.

    The LeMay Mobile Shredding truck will be at the Community Recycle Event at the Lewis County (Kiona) Road Shop, 8911 US Hwy 12, Randle May 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Residents may bring up to 5 bags or boxes or sensitive documents they would like to have shredded. This is a free community service. The shredded paper will be hauled to a paper recycling facility for processing. Funded in part by a Local Solid Waste Financial Assistance Grant from Department of Ecology.
