Lewis County Seeks Consultant for Comprehensive Plan Update
Lewis County and all cities in the county are required by the Washington State Growth Management Act to update their comprehensive plans. The Lewis County Comprehensive Plan identifies a vision for the future for the community, and establishes a set of long-term goals, policies and land use patterns for growth over a 20-year period. Updates will include changes to the zoning map and development regulations. The updates must be completed by June 2025.
In July, the county expects to receive a grant from the Washington State Department of Commerce to fund the mandated updates. The Lewis County Department of Community Development has released a Request for Proposal (RFP) to hire a consultant to assist with the update. Proposals are due on August 4.
