Burn Restriction - Effective July 1, 2025

Effective 12:01 A.M., July 01, 2025, burn restrictions will be in place until October 15, 2025, or until the conditions improve. All land clearing, residential and silvicultural burning will be restricted until further notice.

Beginning this year, in an effort to provide greater predictability and consistency for the public and emergency service personnel, Lewis County is implementing standardized annual restrictions on outdoor burning on all land regulated by Lewis County, effective every year beginning at 12:01 a.m. July 15 and extending through 11:59 p.m. October 15, as imposed by the Lewis County Fire Marshal, excluding recreational fires in designated campgrounds or on private lands in approved burning receptacles.
