LEWIS COUNTY VOLUNTEER GAL PROGRAMThe Lewis County Volunteer Guardian ad Litem Program (GAL) trains volunteers to be Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for children going through dependency court. These volunteers speak in court on the child’s behalf, representing the best interests of the child, and relaying the child’s wishes to the judge. Bail Information The Lewis County Jail accepts bail on behalf of the court having jurisdiction over the charge an individual is booked on. The amount and type of bail is determined by the court. Fleet Services Division is responsible for purchasing, liquidating, and mechanically maintaining vehicles and heavy equipment for all departments throughout the County fleet. The fleet's maintenance locations are comprised of two separate repair facilities.
