AFTER THE DISASTER ~ DAMAGE ASSESSMENT HOTLINE: 360-740-2600 ~Lewis County has established a dedicated damage reporting hotline for residents whose homes or properties were affected by recent flooding. Call 360-740-2600 and leave a message with your first and last name, your phone number and the address of the damaged site. Lewis County will return your call within two business days. This information will help staff conduct preliminary damage assessments and connect you with recovery assistance. Sensitive document shredding offered in Morton at Repair & Sustainability Fair
Residents may bring up to 3 bags or boxes or sensitive documents they would like to have shredded. There is no charge for this service. The shredded paper will be recycled at a paper recycling facility. The event will be offered from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. as part of the Repair & Sustainability Fair at Centralia College East, 701 Airport Way, Morton.

Connecting Neighbors Open House for Earth Month at the MRC Tool Library
WSU Lewis Co. MRC Volunteers invite you to stop by the Floral Park Sustainability Project, 104 E. Floral St., Centralia, to learn more about, the MRC Tool Bucket Library and how to become a volunteer for the environment. Light refreshments will be served. Anyone, at least age 18, is eligible to sign up for a 3-month trial membership to the Tool Bucket Library.

Document shredding available at Randle event today
The LeMay Mobile Shredding truck will be at the Community Recycle Event at the Lewis County (Kiona) Road Shop, 8911 US Hwy 12, Randle May 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Residents may bring up to 5 bags or boxes or sensitive documents they would like to have shredded. This is a free community service. The shredded paper will be hauled to a paper recycling facility for processing. Funded in part by a Local Solid Waste Financial Assistance Grant from Department of Ecology.

Leucanthemum vulgare Oxeye Daisy - A perennial, herbaceous plant growing 1-3 feet tall.Leaves: Leaves are alternate and lance-shaped, with toothed or lobed edges.Flowers: Flowers bloom from May-October. Single flowerhead at the end of the stem. It has many white ray-flowers, creating the "petals," and yellow disc-flowers in the middle.Habitat: Found in grasslands, overgrazed pastures, waste areas, meadows, roadsides, railroad ROWs, yards, and fields.Weed Classification: CWhy is it a Noxious Weed?It can aggressively invade fields and decrease plant diversity.
