Tire Recycling Event in Packwood
Free tire recycling, along with a community litter clean-up event, will be offered in Packwood on Friday and Saturday.Passenger car and light truck tires will be accepted for free recycling from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 24 and Sept. 25 at the Packwood Community Hall, 12935 US-12 Highway, thanks for a special tire amnesty grant from the Department of Ecology awarded to the Lewis County Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Utility, which is coordinating the collection.An added opportunity on Sept. 25, National Public Lands Day, will be a community litter pick-up event, organized by the Packwood Improvement …
