Lewis County's Board of Health meets the second Monday of each month at 1:30 pm in the Commissioners Hearing Room.Agenda's for regularly scheduled meeting will now be listed on Public Health and Social Services "Events" calendar every Friday before the regularly scheduled Monday meeting. Chips for Trails Event in Vader
The City of Vader is hosting its annual Chips for Trails Event at McMurphy Park on Annonen Road from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 19. Lewis County residents can drop off chippable branches and limbs that are no larger than 6 inches in diameter. This material will be chipped to spread on park trails. Any interested in volunteering or more information, please call 360-218-4257.

Free Tool Library Trial Membership at Earth Month Open House
WSU Lewis Co. MRC Volunteers invite you to stop by the Floral Park Sustainability Project, 104 E. Floral St., Centralia, to learn more about, the MRC Tool Bucket Library and how to become a volunteer for the environment. Light refreshments will be served. Anyone, at least age 18, is eligible to sign up for a 3-month trial membership to the Tool Bucket Library.

Sensitive Document Shredding offered at Repair Fair in Morton
Residents may bring up to 5 bags or boxes or sensitive documents they would like to have shredded. There is no charge for this service. The shredded paper will be recycled after the event at a paper recycling facility. The event will be offered from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. as part of the Repair & Sustainability Fair at the Morton Senior Center, 103 Westlake Ave., Morton, WA 98356.

Learn how to test your soil at workshop in Morton
Plan to attend a WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter workshop to learn how to test your soil. By knowing your soil type and characteristics, you can make it better with compost.
