Tire Recycling Event in Centralia & Winlock March 12
Two free tire recycling events will be held on March 12 & 13 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day at two Lewis County locations. One collection event will take place at the City of Winlock Public Works Department, 712 NW Dexter Avenue, Winlock, and the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds, 1909 S. Gold St., Centralia. The events, which are for Lewis County residents only, will accept 15 tires per person, passenger and light truck tires on or off the rim, and semi-truck tires off the rim. Rake up and bag your leaves so gardeners and composters can put them to good use. Bagged leaves may be dropped off on the event day. Leaves will be available for pickup on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter volunteers will be on hand to inspect leaves and help the event run smoothly.
