    The Records Division of the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office is open to serve the public Monday through Friday, (except Holidays), 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. We are located in the Law and Justice Center at 345 W. Main Street, Chehalis, Washington.The records staff independently coordinates and performs a broad range of technical support services to the Operations, Corrections and Services Bureaus. Support technicians are responsible for computer entry, processing, storage, retrieval and dissemination of various reports, records and information within the Sheriff’s Office, along with assisting the public at the counter and on the phone.     Do you pick up dead animals? Yes, but only if it is on the county right-of-way (road or ditch); not if it is on private property. Why can’t you just drain this swampy area so the road won’t get flooded? We have strict rules imposed on us by other departments such as Washington State Fish and Wildlife Department, Department of Ecology, and other State/Federal agencies.
