Marriage license applications can be completed Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.The cost of a marriage license may vary from county to county. In Lewis County the fee is $172.00, payable by cash or check only. Credit and debit cards are not accepted. Marriage licenses must be applied for at least three (3) days prior to the marriage and are valid for 60 days anywhere within the state of Washington. Adopt-A-Road Program The Lewis County Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Utility's Adopt-A-Road Program is now available for community groups or like-minded friends and neighbors to pick up litter along county roads. Organizations and individuals can submit an application to adopt a section of road to clean at least four times a year, or sign up for a one-time clean up of a community, neighborhood, or park.
