The Lewis County Juvenile Individual Treatment Court is a court-managed designed to provide a cost-effective alternative to traditional criminal case processing. This program focuses on the needs of the youth and coming up with an individual treatment plan. It may be offered if you are have a criminal referral and have an SUD and/or MH need. As of December 2025, three of the Lewis County Coroner's Office staff members are nationally registered Medicolegal Death Investigators through the American Board of Medicolegal Death Investigators (ABMDI). To become ABMDI registered, there are three criteria:Have 650 hours of death investigation experience and be employed in a Coroner/Medical Examiner OfficeDemonstrate competency in 300 tasks involving death investigationPass a four hour comprehensive examination with at least an 80%.The certification period is for five years during which continuing education (CE) hours are required to be re-certified. Lewis County transfer stations close for Memorial Day
Lewis County Transfer Stations in Centralia and Morton are closed today (Monday, May 26) for the Memorial Day Holiday. The Administration Office at the Centralia site is also closed. They will resume normal operations on Tuesday, May 27.

Lewis County transfer stations close for Juneteenth holiday
Lewis County Transfer Stations in Centralia and Morton are closed today Thursday, June 19) in observance of the Juneteenth Holiday. This closure includes the Administration Office in Centralia. The transfer stations and Administration Office will resume regular hours on Friday, June 20.
