The Real Estate Services Division is responsible for land management of properties, right-of-way, mapping, and geographic analysis in support of the Public Works Department and for the County overall.The Division manages the Public Works Department's assorted sets of historical maps, surveys, road way files, field notes, engineer tracings/drawings, and aerial photos.These are being indexed and scanned to preserve the integrity of the originals and to increase their availability. Leaf Exchange Event: Final Day!
Rake up and bag your leaves so gardeners and composters can put them to good use. Bagged leaves may be dropped off on the event day. Leaves will be available for pickup on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter volunteers will be on hand to inspect leaves and help the event run smoothly. Basic Composting Class
WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter volunteers are hosting a Basic Home Composting Workshop at Centralia College East in Morton as part of the Repair & Sustainability Fair at 11 a.m. on March 22. Learn how to convert organic materials from your yard, garden, and kitchen into nutrient rich compost to improve your soil, promote healthy plants, and reduce pesky pests! Participants who are interested can enter their names into a drawing for a free compost bin. This event is free to the public. Support for this workshop is provided in part by the Washington State Department of Ecology.
