Pleasant Valley Road Shop hosts community recycle event
Lewis County residents will have an opportunity to properly dispose of household hazardous waste and recycle several items for free at a special event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 25 at the Lewis County Road Shop, 111 Pleasant Valley Road, Winlock, WA 98596. Residents can bring in up to 15 fluorescent lights, 5 gallons of motor oil, 5 gallons of antifreeze, and 5 gallons of cooking oil per household. No containers larger than 5 gallons will be accepted. School
The Chehalis School District operates a full-time, in-house program for youth. The program is geared to help them stay on track with a key focus on the youth/student's need.All detained youth are required to attend school Monday through Friday and can receive credits for completed classes while in custody.We provide school year round with the acceptation of a three-week summer break in August.Youth that have dropped out of school or are in alternative programs have the chance to work towards their GED or high school equivalence while in custody.

Shred sensitive documents at Napavine Community Recycle Event
The LeMay Mobile Shredding truck will be at the Community Recycle Event at the Lewis County Road Shop, 111 Pleasant Valley Road, Winlock, between Napavine and Winlock, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 25. Residents may bring up to 3 bags or boxes or sensitive documents they would like to have shredded. There is no charge for this service. The shredded paper will be hauled to a paper recycling facility for processing.
