    The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office wants community members to be aware of a scam circulating in our area and learn how to protect themselves from becoming a victim of fraud and identity theft. Deputies have received several reports from citizens that they are receiving random phone calls from very aggressive callers with strong foreign accent/dialects stating they are from the IRS. The callers knew the victim’s names and some other basic information about them making it appear it may really be the IRS calling.     PRESS RELEASE - RIVER ROAD DOG ATTACK:Deputies are investigating a dog attack which occurred inside a residence in the 400 block of River Road in Chehalis on Wednesday afternoon. At around 2:30 p.m., aid personnel and deputies were dispatched to a dog bite of a 91-year-old female. When they arrived, they discovered the victim had been attacked by two of her own German Shepherds, resulting in major trauma to both of her lower arms.
