The Board of County Commissioners is currently accepting applications for use of hotel/motel lodging tax funds for the 2013 budget year from organizations whose programs or activities promote tourism in the unincorporated Lewis County area. “Tourism Promotion” is defined as “activities designed to increase tourism, including but not limited to advertising, publicizing, or otherwise distributing information for the purpose of attracting and welcoming tourists; and funding the marketing of special events designed to attract tourists.” These funds may no longer be used for the administrative costs of running an agency as …

    Purpose The Planning Commission assists the Community Development department in carrying out its duties, including assistance in the preparation and execution of the comprehensive plan and the adoption of development regulations for Lewis County, Washington.
