    Sensitive Document Shredding: Residents may bring up to 3 bags or boxes or sensitive documents they would like to have shredded. There is no charge for this service. The shredded paper will be recycled at a paper recycling facility. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in conjunction with the Repair & Sustainability Fair at Centralia College.   4. Tire Recycling Event Sponsored by the Solid Waste Division, Sept 27 - Oct 2

    Monday, September 27th through Saturday, October 2nd at the Central Transfer Station located at 1411 So. Tower Ave. in Centralia. Hours that tires will be accepted at the Central Transfer Station site are 7:30 am until 5:30 pm. Residents must come prepared to unload their own tires and please anticipate waiting in line to unload. For more information please click here.

    Lewis County Juvenile Court believes that physical exercise should be incorporated into everyday life. We strive to educate our youth on how to use their own body weight to get exercise daily.Exercise has proven to help decrease anxiety and depression while improving mood and quality of sleep.   6. Shredding Event in the Napavine-Winlock Area

    The LeMay Mobile Shredding Truck will be at the Community Recycle Event at the Lewis County Road Shop, 111 Pleasant Valley Road, Winlock, WA 98596, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Customers may bring up to 3 grocery bags or boxes of sensitive documents they would like to have shredded. The shredded paper will be recycled after the event.

  7. Hazo Hut is open today (7/3)

    Lewis County residents can drop off unwanted or leftover household chemicals at the Hazo Hut at the transfer station in Centralia. Used motor oil and antifreeze, up to five gallons each, can also be dropped off at this time. Up to 10 burned out fluorescent lights may also be recycled during Hazo Hut's open hours.

  8. Transfer Stations are open on the Presidents' Day Holiday

    Lewis County transfer stations in Centralia and Morton will be OPEN their regular hours on the President's Day Holiday, Monday, Feb. 15, 2021. Centralia is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Morton is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. In-bound gates at both transfer stations close 15 minutes prior to facility closure.

  9. Sensitive Document Shredding Event in Morton

    Sensitive Document Shredding: Residential customers may bring up to three bags or boxes of documents they would like shredded, and then recycled. This event will take place in the recycling area of the East Lewis County Transfer Station, 6745 U.S. Hwy 12, near Morton. The LeMay Mobile Shredding truck will be on-site from 9 a.m. to noon.

    The Coroner's Office works closely with the staff of the Public Health District to identify health issues affecting the public and working to reduce those effects through public education.This is also where copies of Death Certificates can be requested.
