Drop off used motor oil at Hazo Hut today
Lewis County residents can drop off up to five gallons of used motor oil and up to 10 burned out fluorescent lights at Hazo Hut at the transfer station in Centralia, 1411 S. Tower Ave. Unwanted household chemicals, excluding PaintCare items (Please visit PaintCare.org to learn more about PaintCare items and find out where to drop off PaintCare items locally, and up to five gallons of used antifreeze can also be dropped off at this time.

Chips for Trails at McMurphy Park
Lewis County residents are invited to bring their chippable wood debris to McMurphy Park off Annonen Road in Vader between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. April 30. Examples of acceptable items are chippable branches and small trees. These items will be ground up, then volunteers will spread the chips on trails in the park.

Heracleum mantegazzianum Giant Hogweed - A perennial, or sometimes biennial, plant capable of growing 15-20 feet tall. Show your support for natural resource protection and public spaces by participating in an invasive plant removal project at Chehalis River Discovery Trail. Limits on Food and Retail Service Uses in LAMIRDs
Effective on June 9, 2022 Lewis County will implement new state rules that limit the size of food and retail service uses in Type I Limited Areas of More Intense Rural Development (LAMIRDs). During the 2022 Washington State Legislative Session, Senate Bill 5275 revised RCW 36.70A.070(5)(d)(i)(C) related to LAMIRDs.
