The goal of the Tuberculosis Program is to stop the spread of tuberculosis. This is done through targeted testing, early diagnosis and treatment. What services are provided by the Health Department? We provide knowledgeable and compassionate case management to people diagnosed with tuberculosis that do not have insurance or a primary care provider.We conduct contact investigations to ensure that people who have been exposed to tuberculosis are offered appropriate screening.We provide consultation to health care providers in the community.Services are confidential.Cost is not a barrier for treatment.Interpreters are available upon request at no charge to the client. The Prosecuting Attorney is the chief legal officer for Lewis County. The primary mission of a Prosecuting Attorney is to enforce criminal laws and work for the victims of crime. This includes obtaining orders for restitution for the victim, informing the victim of court dates, and acting as an advocate for the victim at trial and sentencing. The Prosecuting Attorney also acts as legal counsel to the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners and county departments, assists in certain child support cases, and performs a number of other statutory duties. Transportation Improvement ProgramThe Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) represents the county's transportation priorities for a six-year time period and identifies road and bridge construction, and other transportation improvement projects throughout the unincorporated county. The Annual Construction Program (ACP) represents the first year of the program. Pursuant to Washington law and administrative code (RCW 36.81.121 & WAC 136-15-150), every year Public Works prepares a TIP and ACP for adoption by the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners after a public hearing thereon.
