About SWAC The Lewis County Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC) serves in an advisory capacity in the development of programs and policies concerning solid waste handling and disposal and to review and comment upon proposed rules, policies, or ordinances prior to their adoption (RCW 70A.205.110). The SWAC also assists Lewis County Solid Waste Utility staff in the development of a five-year “Solid Waste Management Plan” to help guide how Lewis County manages garbage and recycling now, and into the future.SWAC members are citizens, members of public interest groups, professionals from the business and agricultural community, operators of solid waste collection …

Fallopia x bohemica, Fallopia japonica, & Fallopia sachalinensis Bohemian knotweed is the hybridization of Giant and Japanese knotweeds. They vary slightly in the size and shapes of their leaves and flowers but otherwise look and behave very similarly.Knotweed - Clumping and spreading perennial hollow zig-zagging stems and long creeping rhizomes.Leaves: Large leaves are alternate, leathery, and oval. Transportation Improvement ProgramThe Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) represents the county's transportation priorities for a six-year time period and identifies road and bridge construction, and other transportation improvement projects throughout the unincorporated county. The Annual Construction Program (ACP) represents the first year of the program. Pursuant to Washington law and administrative code (RCW 36.81.121 & WAC 136-15-150), every year Public Works prepares a TIP and ACP for adoption by the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners after a public hearing thereon. Can grow 99 feet and the young plants can anchor to vertical surfaces.Leaves: Dark green, waxy leaves that are alternate along the stem.
