Health Department Classes: When and Where The in-person food worker card classes have been canceled until further notice.Food worker cards can still be obtained online at www.foodworkercard.wa.gov. Solanum rostratum Buffalobur - An annual plant growing around 1.5-3 feet tall, covered in spines and hairs.Leaves: Alternate leaves 2-6 inches long. Lewis County and its Southwest Washington fairgrounds staff are happy to announce that the talents and knowledge of local youth will be showcased at the annual Spring Youth Fair, May 5-7 at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds.“We expect hundreds of kids, from Lewis County and as far away as Eastern Washington and Oregon, to show fairgoers the activities they’re involved in,” said youth fair co-founder Lee Coumbs of Centralia.

Tire-cycling events at Packwood and Centralia
Recycle your worn out tires for free at two Lewis County Solid Waste Utility events, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 13 and 14 at Packwood Community Hall, 12935 U.S. Highway 12. Another tire recycling is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 26, 27 and 28 at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds, 1909 S. Gold St. in Centralia.
