    Board Members & Community Members:Our regular scheduled Weed Board Meeting is postponed. The meeting was scheduled for May 5, 2020.The postponement is due to the Lewis County Courthouse Closure and current COVID 19 response.We will work to reschedule the meeting as soon as possible.   5. Lewis County Comprehensive Plan update public meeting

    Lewis County is required by the state to updated the Comprehensive Plan starting in 2023 and finishing in 2025. The official kick-off will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday Sept. 26 with a joint session between the Lewis County Commissioners and Planning Commission to establish the scope of work. The public is invited to attend the meeting at the historic Lewis County Courthouse in Chehalis.

    Landowners are notified of their responsibility to participate in the control of noxious weeds to prevent their spread and establishment on lands within Lewis County per Chapter 17.10 RCW Noxious Weeds – Weed Boards and Chapter 16-750 WAC State Noxious Weed list.  Noxious weeds are non-native plants that are highly destructive, competitive and difficult to control or eliminate.
