Repair & Sustainability Fair: The WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter (MRC) volunteers are teaming up with Centralia College, the Lewis County Solid Waste Utility and others in the community to offer the Repair & Sustainability Fair to the area residents. It will be located in the SWFT Centralia at Centralia College at 807 W. Pear Street.Volunteer fixers will be on site from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A "Composting Basics" Workshop is scheduled for 11 a.m. It will teach how to get started in composting organic material, including yard waste and kitchen waste. The event will take place from *10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (except where noted) at the Lewis County Area 7 Road Shop (Kiona), 8911 US Hwy 12, Randle, WA 98377.Satellite Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event: Residential customers may drop off their unwanted or left-over cleaners, lawn, garden, pool chemicals, and other household chemicals. Please be prepared to leave your containers at the event. Workers don't have a place to empty them, and return them to customers at satellite events. Reserve Deputy Coroner Program
The office has Reserve Deputy Coroner Academy which is a volunteer, non-paid position. The training consists of classroom, office responsibilities, ride along with law enforcement, observing dispatch and assisting Deputy Coroners on calls and in office.Reserve Deputy Coroners ride along with Deputy Coroners to scenes and assist with investigations under the supervision of the Deputy Coroner.
