Residents can drop off their Christmas trees and burned out holiday lights today and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot outside the Centralia transfer station at 1411 S. Tower Ave. The event concludes on Sunday! Please remove all decorations and tinsel from the trees. Donations will be accepted to support WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter volunteer community outreach programs. Flocked and artificial trees will not be accepted. Morton transfer station accepts household chemicals today
Residential customers can drop off unwanted/leftover household cleaners, and lawn, garden and pool chemicals. They can also drop off up to five gallons of motor oil, up to five gallons of antifreeze and up to 10 burned out fluorescent bulbs.
