Final Day to Recycle Christmas Trees & Holiday Lights
Residents can drop off their Christmas trees and burned out holiday lights from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today in the parking lot outside the Centralia transfer station at 1411 S. Tower Ave. Today is the last day to drop off Christmas trees for recycling. Please remove all decorations and tinsel from the trees. Donations will be accepted to support WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter volunteer community outreach programs. Flocked and artificial trees will not be accepted. Lewis County transfer stations in Centralia and Morton are open today, Jan. 2, 2023. The administration office in Centralia, however, is not open today in observance of the New Year's Day holiday. The administration office will return to regular hours on Tuesday, Jan. 3.

Morton transfer station accepts household chemicals today
Residential customers can drop off unwanted/leftover household cleaners, and lawn, garden and pool chemicals. They can also drop off up to five gallons of motor oil, up to five gallons of antifreeze and up to 10 burned out fluorescent bulbs.
