Construction moves forward on bringing high-speed internet service to parts of south Lewis County
WINLOCK - The Winlock-area broadband expansion project is a public-private partnership between Lewis County and ToledoTel with the assistance of a $23.5 million grant from the Washington State Broadband Office including $2.3 million from ToledoTel.Robinson Brothers Construction began work along Lane Dr. and Meier Rd. in Winlock, with hopes of extending the future network by adding three miles each week. Residents can drop off their Christmas trees and burned out holiday lights from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today in the parking lot outside the Centralia transfer station at 1411 S. Tower Ave. This is the last weekend to drop off Christmas trees for recycling. Please remove all decorations and tinsel from the trees. Donations will be accepted to support WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter volunteer community outreach programs. Flocked and artificial trees will not be accepted. You may dispose of flocked or artificial trees at the transfer station, where regular fees will apply ($20 minimum for 340 pounds …
