    PRESS RELEASE Lewis County Public Works would like to announce that the Jackson Highway Bridge crossing the Newaukum River will be open to traffic on Friday, February 18, 2011, at 4 p.m. Future work will occur, with flagger-controlled, one-way traffic during working hours and unrestricted two-way traffic during non-working hours. The bridge replacement contract was awarded to Rognlin’s Incorporated (Aberdeen, WA) in the amount of $2,153,027.     The Lewis County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) is seeking volunteers interested in serving on the newly established Short Term Rentals (STR) Advisory Group.The 11-member group will provide guidance as the county implements its new requirements for short-term rentals.     Click here for original Press Release On July 13, 2018, Winlock Fire Department responded to a fully engulfed single-wide mobile home fire at a trailer park located at 380 Minkler Road, Winlock. The fire was investigated by a Fire Investigator from Chehalis Fire Department and Lewis County Sheriff’s Office Detective J. S. Humphrey. The victim in this investigation is a 36-year-old female, whose loss amounted to about $5,000 in personal property. The mobile home was valued at about $15,000, and was a total loss.
