    The Construction and Special Programs Section is responsible for the following: Repair stream bank scour and erosion at bridges. Obtain regulatory agencies’ permits. Apply hydraulic techniques to stabilize and restore stream channels. Repair failed roadway prisms due to slides, sink holes, and waterway erosion. Coordinate repairs to river revetments by contractors and the US Army Corps of Engineers. Provide assistance as the Lewis County R.I.D. (Road Improvement District) Coordinator.   10. Lewis County solid waste sites closed for Thanksgiving Day

    Lewis County transfer stations in Centralia and Morton are closed today in observance of the Thanksgiving Day holiday. They will resume regular hours on Friday, Nov. 25. The Solid Waste Utility Administration Office, however, is closed today and Friday, Nov. 25. It will be open on Monday, Nov. 28.
