Community Recycle Event in Randle
Lewis County residents will have an opportunity to recycle scrap metal, appliances, and passenger and light truck tires at a Community Recycle Event in Randle from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 13 at the intersection of U.S. Forest Service Road 47 and Silverbrook Road, next to Mount Adams Riding Club entrance. This event is being offered on a first-come, first-served basis. When the containers are full, they will be closed. Randle community volunteers are offering this event in partnership with the Lewis County Solid Waste Utility. Support provided in part by the Washington State Department of Ecology. For scrap …

Dangerous Animal Designation Board Being Created
Many Lewis County residents share a love for animals and have consistently shown great interest in the welfare of animals of all kinds. Lewis County Public Health & Social Services (LCPHSS) wants to tap into that passion by reaching out for volunteers to serve on a new Dangerous Animal Designation (DAD) Board. A key reason for creating this board is to enhance public participation in the dangerous animal designation process. More

Comprehensive Plan and Development Regulation Amendments
Comprehensive Plan Periodic UpdateBeginning July 2023, Lewis County and all cities in the county are required by the Washington State Growth Management Act to update their comprehensive plans. Lewis County is coordinating this effort through the Planned Growth Committee. Packwood Subarea PlanLewis County is partnering with the community of Packwood to develop a subarea plan.
