Limits on Food and Retail Service Uses in LAMIRDs
Effective on June 9, 2022 Lewis County will implement new state rules that limit the size of food and retail service uses in Type I Limited Areas of More Intense Rural Development (LAMIRDs). During the 2022 Washington State Legislative Session, Senate Bill 5275 revised RCW 36.70A.070(5)(d)(i)(C) related to LAMIRDs. The revised law includes the following limits on retail and food service:Retail or food service uses can occupy an existing building, or redeveloped building, as long as the structure was previously used for retail or food service and the use will occupy the same building footprint as the original footprint or …

Correction - 2018 Countywide HMA Project closes on June 5, 2018 at 11:00 am
There has been a correction made to the closing date of the 2018 Countywide HMA Project. The website had previously stated that the bids closed on June 12, 2018. The bids are actually due June 5, 2018 by 11:00 am at the Lewis County Commissioner's Office, (Lewis County Courthouse, 2nd Floor, Room 210, 351 NW North St, Chehalis, WA, 98532). The Bids will be opened at 11:00 am or later. We apologize for the mistake. Access the details and necessary documents, and get on the planholders list here.

Sensitive Document Shredding Event, Morton
The LeMay Mobile Shredding Truck will be in the parking lot of Centralia College East, 701 Airport Way, Morton, WA 98356, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in conjunction with the Repair & Sustainability Fair, East End Edition. Residents may bring up to 3 bags or boxes or sensitive documents they would like to have shredded. There is no charge for this service. The shredded paper will be recycled at a paper recycling facility. Support for this event is provided in part by the Department of Ecology.
