Meet Arny Davis - Lewis County Treasurer Arny Davis was elected as Lewis County Treasurer and assumed office in January of 2015. He is the 28th treasurer to serve since 1850. Arny served as Chief Deputy Treasurer for two and a half years prior to becoming Lewis County Treasurer. He chairs the County Finance Committee and oversees a staff of eight at the Treasurer’s office. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program – Education (SNAP-Ed) is a federally funded grant program that supports evidence-based nutrition education and obesity prevention interventions and projects for persons eligible for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) through complementary direct education, multi-level interventions, and community and public health approaches to improve nutrition.SNAP-Ed is an evidence-based program that helps people lead healthier lives. SNAP-Ed teaches people using or eligible for SNAP about good nutrition and how to make their food dollars stretch further. Let’s keep Lewis County clean!The Lewis County Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Utility Adopt-A-Road Program is now available for for community groups or like-minded friends and neighbors to pick up litter along county roads. This program was approved by Lewis County Commissioners in mid-August, and is now ready to get Lewis County residents, businesses and community groups signed up to keep our road clean. Organizations and individuals can submit an application to adopt a section of road to clean at least four times a year, or sign up for a one-time clean up of community, neighborhood, or park.Once an …
