About Lewis County Solid Waste Utility
The Lewis County Solid Waste Utility is a division of the Lewis County Department of Public Works. It operates transfer stations in Centralia and Morton, where all garbage collected in Lewis County gets dropped off and consolidated in containers to be hauled to a large landfill in Cowlitz County.LeMay is the hauler that collects curbside garbage as well as refuse from businesses, and brings it to one of the transfer stations. These volunteers speak in court on the child’s behalf, representing the best interests of the child, and relaying the child’s wishes to the judge. Transportation Improvement ProgramThe Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) represents the county's transportation priorities for a six-year time period and identifies road and bridge construction, and other transportation improvement projects throughout the unincorporated county. The Annual Construction Program (ACP) represents the first year of the program. Repair & Sustainability Fair: The WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter (MRC) volunteers are teaming up with Centralia College, the Lewis County Solid Waste Utility and others in the community to offer the Repair & Sustainability Fair to the area residents. Daphne laureola Spurge Laurel - An evergreen shrub that gets to be around 1.5 to 5 feet tall. Plants can either be upright or arched at the base before spreading upwards.Leaves: Leaves alternate and are more prominent towards the top of the shoots. They are dark green and shiny on the top with lighter undersides. Leaves are oval in shape and about 0.8-5.1 inches long.Flowers: Flowers bloom from March through June. In some cases, blood will be sent to a toxicology laboratory for testing to determine what substances may be in the decedent's system and what those levels are.This testing can take 4-6 weeks to come back at which point the results are sent to the assigned Forensic Pathologist who will use the results to make the final determination of cause and manner of the death.
