    The Coroner's Office works closely with the staff of the Public Health District to identify health issues affecting the public and working to reduce those effects through public education.This is also where copies of Death Certificates can be requested.     INTERNSHIPS: The Lewis County Coroner's Office does accept students as interns as long as they are enrolled in a college or university that is accredited through the US Department of Education as well as the College for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). This office does not accept applications or inquiries directly from students. Students must go through their school internship or co-operative coordinator to apply for an internship. If a student is attending a school that has not yet established an internship agreement with this office, they are to have a school representative contact this office to set one up. The …
