    Sensitive Document Shredding: Residents may bring up to 3 bags or boxes or sensitive documents they would like to have shredded from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 17. There is no charge for this service. The shredded paper will be recycled at a paper recycling facility at the conclusion of the event. The event will take place in the parking lot of Dailey Storage, 110 7th St., Vader, WA 98593.

    The Lewis County Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC) will host a special meeting at 1:00 p.m. Jan. 10 to receive an overview of the Lewis County Solid & Hazardous Waste Management Plan draft update. A consulting firm, Herrera Environmental, has been working with the SWAC and County staff to update the document. After the overview, and a question-and-answer session, SWAC members will consider whether to recommend the draft document be approved and forwarded to the Department of Ecology for its initial informal review process.     The office has Reserve Deputy Coroner Academy which is a volunteer, non-paid position. The training consists of classroom, office responsibilities, ride along with law enforcement, observing dispatch and assisting Deputy Coroners on calls and in office.Reserve Deputy Coroners ride along with Deputy Coroners to scenes and assist with investigations under the supervision of the Deputy Coroner.
