    LEWIS COUNTY VOLUNTEER GAL PROGRAMThe Lewis County Volunteer Guardian ad Litem Program (GAL) trains volunteers to be Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for children going through dependency court. These volunteers speak in court on the child’s behalf, representing the best interests of the child, and relaying the child’s wishes to the judge.     INTRODUCTIONLewis County Code LCC8.55 includes requirements to protect public drinking water sources. The regulations require that wells be surrounded by an area of sanitary control. The Sanitary Control Area is the area in which activities that could contaminate the drinking water source are not allowed.
