1. Onalaska Subarea Plan Community Advisory Committee meeting

    The Community Advisory Committee (CAC), made up of property owners and neighbors in Onalaska, will begin meeting on Sept. 19. There is still room on the CAC for more members. The Onalaska Subarea Plan is an updated to the 2017 plan and will include a 20-year vision, goals and policies to help guide and manage growth.

  2. Regional Rail Workshop

    The Cowlitz-Wahkiakum Council of Governments and Thurston Regional Planning Council, in partnership with the Grays Harbor Council of Governments, the Lewis County Transportation Strategy Council and Washington State Department of Transportation, are hosting a public workshop on the Draft Washington State Rail Plan.     Lewis County residents may recycle up to 12 tires per household for free during this two-day event, today and Oct. 14, at the Packwood Community Hall. Tires can be passenger or light truck tires, on or off the rim, or semi-truck tires off the rim. The event will not be able to accept any other type of tire. Customers should be prepared to show proof of Lewis County residency. They will also be expected to unload their own tires.   8. Scrap Metal Recycling Event near Vader and Winlock today

    Lewis County residents may recycle scrap metal and household appliances for free at the old solid waste drop box at 1105 Winlock-Vader Road from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 7 at a special recycling event organized by the City of Vader and Lewis County Solid Waste Utility. Household appliances accepted in the recycling containers at the event include washers, dryers, hot water heaters, stoves/ranges, and dish washers.
