1. Onalaska Subarea Plan Community Advisory Committee meeting

    The Community Advisory Committee (CAC), made up of property owners and neighbors in Onalaska, will begin meeting on Sept. 19. There is still room on the CAC for more members. The Onalaska Subarea Plan is an updated to the 2017 plan and will include a 20-year vision, goals and policies to help guide and manage growth.

    Lewis County residents may recycle up to 12 tires per household for free during this two-day event, today and Oct. 14, at the Packwood Community Hall. Tires can be passenger or light truck tires, on or off the rim, or semi-truck tires off the rim. The event will not be able to accept any other type of tire.     Lewis County residents may recycle scrap metal and household appliances for free at the old solid waste drop box at 1105 Winlock-Vader Road from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 7 at a special recycling event organized by the City of Vader and Lewis County Solid Waste Utility.
