    The office has Reserve Deputy Coroner Academy which is a volunteer, non-paid position. The training consists of classroom, office responsibilities, ride along with law enforcement, observing dispatch and assisting Deputy Coroners on calls and in office.Reserve Deputy Coroners ride along with Deputy Coroners to scenes and assist with investigations under the supervision of the Deputy Coroner.     INTERNSHIPS: The Lewis County Coroner's Office does accept students as interns as long as they are enrolled in a college or university that is accredited through the US Department of Education as well as the College for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
