About Us
The Lewis County Noxious Weed Control Board recognizes that managing noxious weeds requires a community wide effort, and everyone living in the county benefits from all of us putting in our fair share of the work. The Washington State noxious weed law, RCW 17.10, mandates that it is each landowners' responsibility to control or eradicate noxious weeds on their property and to prevent infestations from spreading to adjacent properties. To assist landowners in this effort, the Noxious Weed Control Board develops programs that reflect local priorities, meet the needs of county landowners and carries out the mandates of the law. …

Transfer stations closed for Christmas Day!
Lewis County transfer stations in Centralia and Morton are closed on Thursday, December 25 for the Christmas Day Holiday. Transfer stations will resume their regular hours on Friday, Dec. 26. Centralia is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. In-bound gates in Centralia close 15 minutes prior to facility closure.; Morton is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Lewis County District Court Judge R.W. Buzzard is empowered to perform marriage ceremonies under the laws of the State of Washington. Marriage ceremonies are performed at the Lewis County District Court Monday through Friday at 5:00 p.m. All members of the wedding party must arrive at the Lewis County District Court by 4:30 on the date of the wedding. Spring Repair & Sustainability Fair
Repair & Sustainability Fair: The WSU Lewis County Master Recycler Composter (MRC) volunteers are teaming up with Centralia College, the Lewis County Solid Waste Utility and others in the community to offer the Repair & Sustainability Fair to the area residents. It will be located in the SWFT Centralia at Centralia College at 807 W. Pear Street.Volunteer fixers will be on site from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A "Composting Basics" Workshop is scheduled for 11 a.m. It will teach how to get started in composting organic material, including yard waste and kitchen waste. Adopt-A-Road Program
Let’s keep Lewis County clean!The Lewis County Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Utility Adopt-A-Road Program is now available for for community groups or like-minded friends and neighbors to pick up litter along county roads. This program was approved by Lewis County Commissioners in mid-August, and is now ready to get Lewis County residents, businesses and community groups signed up to keep our road clean.
