    Hazo Hut at the Lewis County Central Transfer Station, 1411 S. Tower Ave., Centralia, is open today from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Residential customers can drop off the following items for free up to 10 burned out fluorescent lights, leftover household chemicals, and up to 5 gallons of used motor oil or antifreeze. The household hazardous waste collection facility is open every Wednesday and the first and third Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  3. Lodging Tax Advisory Committee

    The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) will meet beginning at 8 a.m. The first 30 minutes of the meeting will be an overview of the presentation process as well as a review of committee expectations.The applicants for 2026 funding will give their presentations beginning at 8:30 a.m.Applicants will be allowed time for a 5-minute presentation, followed by a 9-minute question-and-answer period.   5. Sensitive document shredding service offered in Chehalis

    Residents may bring up to 5 bags or boxes or sensitive documents they would like to have shredded. This is a free community service. The shredded paper will be recycled at a paper recycling facility. The event will be offered from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. as part of the spring Repair & Sustainability Fair at the Chehalis Outfitters, 1757 N. National Ave., Chehalis, WA. Funded in part by a Local Solid Waste and Financial Assistance Grant from the Department of Ecology.

    The LeMay Mobile Shredding truck will be at the Community Recycle Event at the Lewis County (Kiona) Road Shop, 8911 US Hwy 12, Randle May 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Residents may bring up to 5 bags or boxes or sensitive documents they would like to have shredded. This is a free community service. The shredded paper will be hauled to a paper recycling facility for processing.
